Oberstaufen

I think the journey to Oberstaufen was as picturesque as the Romantic Road. There were old villages, streams, forest, fields, winding roads and altitude that had us mention several times words like ‘beautiful’, ‘magnificent’, ‘awesome’ etc. I think we are running out of different descriptive words to use.

The Time Share, Mondi Holiday Resort was reasonable easy to find even if we did overshoot the entrance to start with. After the obligatory sign in and administration talk [staff dressed in traditional dress] we set about bringing in our luggage and followed that up with exploration of the site and facilities – squash courts, swimming pool, sauna, tennis courts, pool room, laundry, bakery, massage centre, restaurants; all very nice.

Our unit is well appointed; third floor studio well equipped with kitchen facilities, great views and very comfortable. It is also spotlessly clean.

The resort staff have listed some activities and tours we can sign up to – will think about that.
