Germany 2 - Poland 0

Yesterday Germany beat Poland in a football match and the streets near our hotel were filled with the noise of car horns tooting incessantly. Young people were driving round and round the streets, bodies extended from the window openings of cars, flags were being waved and shouts of jubilation were going on between those in the cars and those on the footpaths. A colourful and noisy event that was very difficult to capture on film. The noise went on until the early hours of the morning.
